R.E.A. BRINGS FOOTBALL AND SMILES TO THE 9TH PRIMARY SCHOOL OF RETHYMNO

A delegation from R.E.A. visited the 9th Primary School of Rethymno as part of the team’s social responsibility programme, “School paREΑ”, and on the occasion of School Sports Day. It was a visit filled with smiles, games and wonderful moments shared with the young students.

R.E.A. President Heraklis Manoukarakis introduced the team and its work to the children and teachers, giving the students the opportunity to learn more about the Rethymno-based club and its activities in women’s football.

The presence of Eirini Manoukaraki was particularly meaningful, as she presented her own jersey to the school’s headmaster, Nektarios Tsagliotis. The visit held special significance for her, as she had attended this very school as a student, making it an important milestone in her personal journey.

R.E.A. was also represented by board member Gavriil Tsountanis; players Eirini Manoukaraki, Kallia Voria, Dimitra Markoutsa, Stella Kotsaki, Yolanda Bonnin, Nanako Kobayashi, Avery Klingensmith, Lindsey Chau, Rania Tougli, Glykeria Nikopoulou, Angeliki Panteri and Eleftheria Plakia; as well as Academy coach Markos Klapsinos.

The young students enthusiastically welcomed the players, hugged them, took photos with them and collected plenty of autographs. Of course, no visit would have been complete without their favourite sport: football.

Through fun football activities, boys and girls stepped onto the pitch, showcased their talent and, above all, demonstrated their eagerness to play, work together and have fun.

R.E.A. would like to express its sincere thanks to the headmaster of the 9th Primary School of Rethymno, Nektarios Tsagliotis, as well as to all the teachers, for their warm welcome, hospitality and for giving the team the opportunity to share wonderful sporting moments with the students.

“School paREΑ” continues to bring football and education together, strengthening R.E.A.’s bond with the children of Rethymno.
