REA FC
announces the renewal of its cooperation with Maria Ruzafa, who will continue
wearing our team’s jersey for the new season.
The
international footballer from Andorra (born on 7/8/1998) will remain in
Rethymno for a second consecutive season, continuing to be one of the most
influential and quality players of REA. From the very first moment, she proved
both her footballing value and her leadership qualities on the pitch,
contributing significantly to our team’s journey.
Maria
Ruzafa stands out for her speed, technical ability, one-on-one skills, and her
capability to both create and finish chances with equal effectiveness. She is a
player who can perform in every attacking position, offering solutions,
quality, and personality.
Her
performances this season have fully justified why her signing was considered
such an important transfer for REA and for Greek women’s football overall. So
far, she has recorded 10 goals and 3 assists, being one of the top attacking
players in the Women’s A Division and undoubtedly one of the most talented
footballers in the league.
With
valuable experience from top European championships such as Italy’s Serie A and
France’s Division 1, as well as being the all-time appearances record holder
for the Andorra National Team, Maria continues to add quality, experience, and
a winning mentality to our squad.
The renewal
of our cooperation confirms REA’s ambition to continue building a competitive
team with high aspirations for the new season.
The REA
family wishes Maria health and even more success wearing our team’s jersey.
MARIA
RUZAFA: “I DIDN’T WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE”
“I’m very
happy to stay here for another season. I love Rethymno and I love this club.
Yes, the
decision was easy for me, because I knew I didn’t want to go anywhere else. My
place is here. I feel happy in every aspect of my life and that is what matters
the most.
My goals
for the new season are, of course, to improve both as a team and individually.
I’m sure it will be an important season for the club. The ambition of this team
keeps growing year after year and I want to be part of this success.”
