REA
returns to Sochora Stadium tomorrow (15:30), where it will host Odysseas
Moschato for Matchday 17 of the Women’s First Division.
Our
team is determined to continue on the path of success and will fight for a
victory that will keep it among the top positions in the standings.
“This
is a demanding match against Odysseas Moschato. We must show the seriousness
and discipline that characterize us in every game. We have quality as a team,
but what must truly set us apart is our commitment to the game plan, our
consistency, and our absolute focus. We are prepared and determined to secure
another victory at home.
We
are not dwelling on our first meeting. Our motivation is clear: to remain in
third place in the standings. To achieve that, we must perform as required and
come away with the win in tomorrow’s match.”
Regarding
the events that have taken place recently, the experienced coach stated:
“What
has happened in recent weeks was done with the well-being of the athletes in
mind, as they are the true protagonists, as well as with the broader
development of the sport in focus. The president and REA are not seeking to
protect only their own players, but all athletes in the league. Under similar
circumstances, any team could find itself in the same position. It is not about
which team is playing under these conditions, but about ensuring, above all,
the health of the players and the credibility of the product.
The
Women’s First Division deserves to be treated with the same seriousness and
equality as the Men’s Super League. We demand equal treatment at all levels,
because only then can we truly speak about the development of women’s
football.”
