STELIOS KOZANIDIS: “A TOUGH DERBY AGAINST OFI – WE CONTINUE WITH FOCUS”

REA returns to league action as they face OFI away from home at the Vardinogiannis Sports Center on Sunday (15/3 – 15:00), as part of the 19th matchday of the Women’s A’ National Football Championship.

It is an important derby between two teams that are high in the standings and know each other very well, something that is expected to add extra interest to the match. REA aims to continue its consistent run and maintain 3rd place in the standings, while knowing that the game requires concentration and tactical discipline. Ahead of the match, our team’s head coach, Stelios Kozanidis, spoke about the importance of the game, the competition in the standings, and the mindset with which REA approaches every match.
“It’s a derby and that’s exactly how we see it. The two teams know each other very well, which makes the match even more interesting. There has been a long break without competitive action, but both teams have quality and I believe we will watch a beautiful and competitive game. It’s certain that both sides will enter the pitch aiming for victory, which means it will be a difficult match for both teams.
As for the league, 3rd place is a clear objective for us. Since we have reached this point in the standings, we want to maintain it until the end of the season. However, we know that the effort will be very demanding, as there are strong teams following us, such as OFI, Asteras Tripolis and Panathinaikos.
That is why we continue with the same philosophy: to approach every game individually, with concentration and seriousness. At the end of the journey, we will make our assessment and see what we have achieved.”
