R.E.A. is
delighted to announce the start of its collaboration with Anela Nigito, who
joins our team roster for the new season.
The
21-year-old Argentine international defender (born 22/6/2004), originally from
Mendoza, comes to strengthen the center of our defense, bringing with her rich
experience from top-level competitions. She began her football career at
Independiente Rivadavia, where she played from a young age and became the
youngest captain in the club’s history.
Anela
played on a scholarship in the NCAA Division I championship in the USA, with
the CSU Bakersfield team, consistently delivering impressive performances. In
2024, she made the leap to Europe, joining Valencia in Spain, becoming the
first player from Mendoza to wear the jersey of the historic Spanish club.
At the same
time, she has worn the Argentine National Team jersey at all levels, from U17
to Women’s senior team, participating among others in the U20 World Cup and
making her debut with the Women’s National Team in 2024.
Her
technical skills, leadership presence, and ability to read the game make her a
valuable addition to our team as we continue to build the present and future of
R.E.A. with consistency and ambition.
