continue their winning run with a 2–0 victory over Volos 2004
REA made
the perfect start to the new year in the championship, claiming an impressive 2–0
away win against Volos 2004, in the context of the 14th round of
the Greek Women’s First Division.
Stelios
Kozanidis’ side were superior throughout the match, setting the tempo from the
opening minutes and creating several clear chances, showing their intentions
early on. The breakthrough came in the 39th minute, when Ruzafa
delivered a low cross from the left and Kotsaki finished superbly into
the right corner to make it 0–1.
REA
continued to apply pressure in the second half, looking for the goal that would
seal the win. Despite creating opportunities, the decisive moment arrived in
the 83rd minute. Following a free kick by Markoutsa, a header
from Kanellou was saved by the goalkeeper, and Bonnin reacted
quickest to the rebound to score and seal the final 0–2.
This result
marked REA’s 8th win of the season, keeping the team firmly in the top
four of the standings and confirming their consistency and presence among
the league’s leading sides.
