REA (Rethymnian Athletes’ Union) announces the beginning of its pre-season preparations for the 2025-26 season on Monday, August 18, at the Sochora Municipal Stadium, with the official team presentation (first full session) scheduled for Saturday, August 23, when all players, including our international signings, will have arrived in Rethymno.
The new season officially kicks off in just a few days, with the goal of preparing the team for what promises to be a demanding and competitive year. REA will participate in three competitions: the Greek Women’s First Division Championship, the Greek Cup, and the U17 Girls’ National Championship.
Several talented players from our U17 squad will also take part in the pre-season training, reinforcing the club’s long-term development plan and commitment to nurturing young talent through its youth academy.
We would also like to highlight two friendly matches that have been scheduled at Sochora Stadium, against Ergotelis and OFI. Admission will be free, with a voluntary donation at the entrance. All proceeds will be donated to support little Pavlina, as a gesture of solidarity and support from the football community.
