REA
returned to winning ways, deservedly defeating Volos NPS 2–0 at the Sochora
Stadium, in the context of the 24th round of the Women’s First Division.
Stelios Kozanidis’ side delivered a complete performance, controlling the match
throughout and creating numerous chances for an even bigger score.
REA started
strongly from the opening minutes and managed to take the lead through a model
counterattack. Kotsaki played a through ball to Situma, who exploited the open
space, entered the box and calmly finished to make it 1–0, giving our team the
advantage. The home side continued to press and create dangerous situations,
while Volos mainly tried to respond through set pieces, coming close in the
28th minute when Geka’s free kick hit the crossbar.
In the
second half, the pattern remained the same, with REA maintaining superiority
and scoring a second spectacular goal. In the 55th minute, Bonnin
received a pass from Kotsaki, controlled perfectly and struck a powerful shot
from 30 meters into the top corner, making it 2–0 and effectively sealing the
victory. Until the final whistle, our team continued to create chances but
missed important opportunities to extend the lead. Academy players Pantalaki,
Kosse, Tsiledaki, and Theodosoulaki also got playing time.
Our team will return to action the following week, hosting
Asteras Tripolis at Sochora Stadium for the final round of the championship.
