A.O. R.E.A.
is delighted to announce the beginning of its collaboration with Eleftheria
Plakia, who will strengthen our squad ahead of the 2026–27 season.
Born on
December 7, 2004, Eleftheria Plakia is regarded as one of the most talented and
promising footballers of her generation in Greek women's football. She is
equally comfortable playing on either wing of the attack, combining pace,
technical ability, explosiveness, and excellent game awareness—qualities that
make her a constant threat in the final third.
REA's
newest signing arrives following an impressive footballing journey. She spent
eight years with AOT Trikala 2011, where she celebrated the club's promotion
successes and won the Greek Women's Third Division Championship, the Girls'
Cup, and the Women's Second Division Championship.
During the
2024–25 season, she wore the jersey of AEK, becoming part of the squad that
achieved the domestic double in Greek women's football by winning both the
Championship and the Greek Women's Cup. She has also proudly represented Greece
at international level, earning caps with the country's U17 and U19 Women's
National Teams.
We warmly
welcome Eleftheria to the REA family and wish her a journey filled with
development, success, and unforgettable moments wearing our club's colors.
ELEFTHERIA
PLAKIA: “THE TRUST THEY SHOWED ME MADE THE DECISION VERY EASY”
“*The
decision to join REA was quite easy for me. Both the head coach and the
president showed great confidence in me from the very beginning, especially
after a difficult period I went through because of my injury.*
*The
support and genuine interest I received immediately made me feel that I was
entering a truly family-oriented environment, and that played a decisive role
in my choice.*
*I am
very happy to now be a member of REA and I cannot wait to start working with my
new teammates so that together we can create something special in the upcoming
season.*
*My goal
is to work hard, help the team achieve the objectives it has set, and
contribute in every possible way throughout the season. On a personal level, I
want to keep improving every day and, above all, stay healthy so that I can
give 100% of my abilities in every training session and every match*.”
