REA secured
their 3rd consecutive win, defeating Atromitos Youth 5-0 at the Sochora
stadium, in the 3rd round of the Women’s Super League.
Our team
delivered a dominant performance, showcasing their quality and reaping the
rewards of their hard work. Stelios Kozanidis’ players combined goals with
spectacle, once again scoring 5 times in a home match. Remarkably, after 3
games, REA has yet to concede a goal, with a goal tally of 12-0.
As for the
match itself, just in the 5th minute, Ruzafa opened the scoring after an assist
from Situma. In the 28th, Kanellou’s shot rattled the crossbar. In the 31st, a
goal from Nikopoulou was disallowed, but in the 45th she finally scored with a
header, assisted by Kanellou. In the second half, Niguito made it 3-0 with yet
another Kanellou assist, before the roles were reversed in the 62nd, when Nigito
set up Kanellou for the 4-0. In the 73rd, the Argentine midfielder created once
again, feeding Kapareli, who finished from a diagonal angle to seal the 5-0
victory.
Coach
Kozanidis also gave valuable minutes and experience in the top division to
three academy players – Balampanova, Pantalaki, and Tsiledaki.
Next round,
REA will travel to face Odysseas Moschatou away from home.
