REA claimed
their second consecutive victory, winning 0–2 away in Trikala, for Matchday 2
of the Greek Women’s Super League.
Our team
managed to impose its rhythm from the very start, created several chances, and
capitalized on two of them, scoring twice to remain unbeaten after two rounds.
Ruzafa gave
an early warning in the 18th minute with a cross–shot that struck the crossbar,
while in the 38th minute, Situma scored her third goal of the season from close
range after a beautiful through ball from Niguito. At the beginning of the
second half, Ruzafa found the net (53’) into an empty goal, taking advantage of
a failed clearance by Androutsou inside the six-yard box, sealing our team’s
first away success of the season.
It should
be noted that English (ankle sprain) and Renoux (groin discomfort) did not
play, as they both picked up minor injuries before the match. Their condition
is not a cause for concern, and they were rested today as a precaution.
On
Saturday, October 4 (15:00), at the Sochora stadium, REA will host Atromitos
Nees for Matchday 3.
