R.E.A. W.F.C. announces the promotion of Georgia Balasi
to the women’s first team, with the young goalkeeper now becoming a permanent
member of our squad in the Greek Women’s First Division.
Georgia Balasi is another athlete who has come through the
R.E.A. Academy and is taking the next important step in her football journey,
confirming the outstanding work that has been carried out within our club’s
youth development system in recent years.
Until recently, she was a key member of the R.E.A. Academy
team, which enjoyed an excellent campaign last season, reaching the
quarterfinals of the Panhellenic Championship. The young goalkeeper had already
received her “baptism of fire” in the Women’s First Division, making her debut
for R.E.A. in mid-May 2024 at just 15 years old, showing from an early stage
her potential and talent between the posts.
The entire R.E.A. family wishes Georgia good health,
strength, and many successes while wearing our team’s colors.
GEORGIA BALASI: “IT IS AN HONOR TO BELONG TO THIS FAMILY”
“Being part of this team means a lot to me. It is a club
with high ambitions and people who work every day with passion and
professionalism. I feel happy and proud to continue being part of this family.
My goals for the new season are to improve every day, help
my team as much as possible, and enjoy a year filled with health and success.”
