A.O. R.E.A.
is delighted to announce the addition of Gavriil Tsountanis to the
administrative family of our club.
The
well-known businessman from Rethymno has been a long-standing supporter of
REA’s journey, standing by the team since its very first steps, supporting it
as a member, sponsor, and one of the most loyal friends and advocates of
women’s football in our city.
His
presence within REA’s management team is another important addition to the
club’s organization, as he is a person who knows firsthand the club’s journey,
values, and philosophy. His love for the team, willingness to contribute, and
belief in REA’s vision are valuable assets for the continuation of our shared
path.
The REA
family warmly welcomes Gavril Tsountanis and wishes him health, strength, and
every success, as together we continue to develop and promote women’s football
in Rethymno and throughout Crete.
GAVRIIL
TSOUNTANIS: “WE MUST BRING THE PEOPLE OF RETHYMNO EVEN CLOSER TO THE TEAM”
“*There
are many reasons why I fell in love with this team. First and foremost, the
players themselves truly love what they do and prove it every single day. At
the same time, the club’s administration has created a genuine family
environment, a group built on values, respect, and a common goal. These are
unique reasons to stand beside and support this effort.*
*My
vision for REA is not focused on the team’s internal operation, because
everything there functions exceptionally well. The sporting side, the
atmosphere, the relationships between the people involved, and the family
spirit are qualities that are difficult to find elsewhere.*
*What I
believe we need to achieve is an even stronger connection with the local
community. We want more people from Rethymno supporting the team, a larger
presence in the stands, and a relationship with the city that is even stronger
and more recognizable.*
*We will
work to bring the people of Rethymno closer to REA and make them an active part
of this journey. It is important for everyone to understand that Rethymno is
home to a team competing in the Greek Women’s First Division, a true gem for
our city and for sport in general*.”
