YOLANDA BONNIN: “TO WIN THE CUP, YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE BEST TEAMS”

REA enter the battle of the
Greek Cup tomorrow, hosting Asteras Tripolis at the Sochora Stadium (12:00), in
the context of the first leg of the quarterfinals. This is a particularly
important match for our team, with the aim of taking the first step toward
qualification.

Ahead
of tomorrow’s encounter, Yolanda Bonnin spoke about REA’s preparation, the
importance of the match, and the mindset with which the team approaches its
competitive obligations in both the Cup and the league.

“*We
prepared for the match very well and worked hard from the moment we returned.
We have a very strong team, both on and off the pitch, and we truly believe
that we can get through this round of the Cup. But everything starts tomorrow.
Asteras are one of the best teams in the league, so it certainly won’t be easy.
To win the Cup, you have to beat the best teams, whether early on or later.*

*I
believe the team came back stronger after the break. The opportunity to spend
time at home with our families and friends is always an extra ‘boost’ of energy
and joy, helping us face the second part of the season with more strength and
motivation.*

*We
are on the right path, with a ‘game-by-game’ philosophy. Right now, we are
fully focused on Wednesday’s match, and then we will start thinking about
Volos. In this way, we can give 100% in every performance and not get
distracted by other thoughts, because in the end this is a highly competitive
league and every match requires our very best to achieve a positive result. I
believe that if we continue like this, we can achieve great things*”.
