REA return
to league action on Sunday, February 8 (13:30), as they travel to Tripoli to
face Asteras Tripolis in the postponed match of the 13th round of the Greek
Women’s First Division. The Rethymno side head to Arcadia with a clear
objective: to present a different and more competitive image, put behind them
the defeat and Cup elimination that took place at the same venue, and get back
to positive results.
Ahead of
this important fixture, Topister Situma spoke about the mentality with which
REA are approaching the match, highlighting the importance of responding after
the recent setback, as well as the team’s determination to show character and
fight for victory, viewing the game as an opportunity for a fresh start and a
return to the path of success.
“*The
next match against Tripoli is an opportunity for redemption, but also a chance
to re-examine our weaknesses. It is a game that can give us the platform to
once again make a strong statement in the championship.
After a defeat, the next match has to give us hope and confidence. The
objective is clear: we want the win.
The 5–0 defeat in the Cup, as heavy as it was, must become a lesson for us. We
have to show character, impose our presence on the pitch and draw the right
conclusions for the future*”.
